Xiaomi YU7 Chassis, Braking and Thermal Parts List: Dampers, Calipers and Cooling

Underneath, the YU7 has to carry more mass and a taller body than the SU7, so the chassis, braking and cooling hardware are sized differently. This list collects the YU7 running-gear stock on hand, from the air suspension dampers through to the water tank and condenser assembly.

What the running-gear set contains

Dampers come first: a front shock absorber assembly with air suspension, a separate front shock absorber assembly and a rear shock absorber assembly, which together cover all four corners and show the difference between the air and steel variants. Steering is represented by the electric power steering system, which is the part that decides steering weight and how much of the feedback is synthesised. Braking is covered by a caliper set, and the electrical side of the vehicle is present through a low-voltage battery. Cooling makes up the rest of the list: the thermal management system, and a water tank assembly with condenser assembly and electronic fan. A charging port cover completes the set.

Damper assemblies are gas-filled and shipped as received; spring and damper pairing is not guaranteed across units. The low-voltage battery is quoted with its measured state of charge.

Comparing SUV running gear against the sedan

The useful comparison here is dimension and load path rather than design. Measure damper body and rod diameters, note the spring seat position and check whether the air suspension variant uses the same damper body as the steel version - that single fact indicates how much of the platform was shared. On the cooling side, the front-end module matters most: count the heat exchangers stacked behind the grille, note their order and size, and compare against a sedan's equivalent, because that stack is the honest measure of how much extra heat an SUV has to reject. EPS units are best compared on motor position and connector count.
